Search our database of marriage license applications filed in Lancaster County. Search by Applicant #1 (groom), Applicant #2 (bride) or date of marriage. Names entered into the "Last Name" fields must be spelled correctly. The "First Name" field can be left blank or the first character of the first name may be used.
Only Marriage Licenses between 1927 to present are on-line. Marriage licenses issued prior to 1964 do not have an "exact" marriage date, but a month and year. If there is not a date in the Marriage Date field, the license was never returned to our office or the couple did not get married.
Requesting a Certified Copy of a Marriage License
The Lancaster County Clerk's office has copies of marriage licenses from June, 1976 to the present. Any year prior to that must be obtained at the Bureau of Vital Statistics, Gold's Building, 10th & N Streets, Lincoln, NE 68508 and their phone number is 402-471-2871.
