Jobs Bill Proves Fruitless for President & Reid

The President has been out on the trail non-stop since September touting his jobs agenda. However, recent polling shows the President’s rhetoric is not resonating outside the beltway.

POLL: The President’s Jobs Bill Is Not Resonating Outside Of Washington Or Helping His Poll Numbers. “Day after day, President Barack Obama and congressional Democrats have pushed their jobs bills — as they did again Wednesday in Georgetown and on Capitol Hill — but there’s little evidence the message is resonating outside the Beltway. Even as Senate Democrats repeatedly force Republicans to vote against jobs measures, voters’ opinions about Democrats remain mixed. Obama saw a slight bump in the polls himself, but pollsters say it’s not directly attributable to his jobs rhetoric.” (Scott Wong, “Barack Obama’s Jobs Drive Not Moving Polls,” Politico, 11/3/11)
