Biola University is the highest-ranked all-Christian national university in the nation. We think that’s because our foundation hasn’t changed since 1908.

About Our Schools

Since 1908, our foundation has remained the same: Jesus Christ & God’s inerrant Word.

Our Mission

The mission of Biola University is biblically centered education, scholarship and service — equipping men and women in mind and character to impact the world for the Lord Jesus Christ.

Exceptional Schools

Biola University is also the highest-ranked national university in the Council for Christian Colleges & Universities. Our six schools each offer academic rigor and spiritual growth, research and biblical scholarship, and the integration of a Christian worldview into every program. Choose from 13 master’s and five doctoral degrees. All of the programs have an on-campus option, though many courses are offered in modular format, at extension sites, or online.

Accredited Programs

Biola University holds institutional accreditation by the Accrediting Commission for Senior Colleges and Universities of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (1961). In addition, the institution and certain of its programs are accredited by:

  • American Psychological Association (1980)
  • Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs (1977)
  • Association of Theological Schools (1977)
  • California Commission for Teacher Preparation and Licensing (1960)
