With the help of event producers Extra Extra, Betsey Johnson threw herself one crazy 70th Birthday Party during Fashion Week – Spring 2013. In order to set the mood for arriving guests, Extra Extra commissioned Red Paper Heart to create an animated video retrospective that would guide attendees through Betsey's work and career.

Separating her collection by decade, the retrospective offered a glimpse of Betsey’s work from her rock roots to her bold patterned 2000’s. Each decades design was inspired by the patterns, colors, textures of Betsey’s collection. Polka-dotted 1960’s made way for the flower power 1970’s. While the 80’s were laden with leopard print and neon, the 90’s were adorned with the intricacy and texture of lace.
