Burning Coal Theatre Company and the NC State Dance Program will present “State of Dance,” the world premieres of five new short dance pieces created by some of the most exciting young emergent dance makers in North Carolina.

“State of Dance” will feature pieces by AWW Performance Company, Black Box Dance Theatre, The Carol Finley Dance Group, Code f.a.d. Company and Renay Aumiller Dances. In the video above, we chat with Burning Coal’s Artistic Director Jerome Davis about the company allowing artists to use their space. We also caught up with the artistic director for Code f.a.d., Autumn Mist Belk, after one of their rehearsals (seen in the video).

The works will premiere at Burning Coal Theatre’s Murphey School Auditorium Thursday, Friday and Saturday, November 6 to 8 at 7:30 pm. All tickets are $10 and are available at the door.

This is a great opportunity to come out and support these awesome dance companies.
