Perfectme offers both low intensity peels to highly penetrative abrasive peels for those that suffer from acne, pigmentation or have ageing skin. It can also be used to treat scars, freckles, age spots or sun damaged skin.
Our revolutionary peels are non-irritating, pain free and cause no downtime. For best results a course of skin peels can be combined with Medical Microdermabrasion.
An alternative more abrasive procedure involves a chemical solution that is applied to the skin. The solution causes the layer of skin to separate and peel off; leaving a new regenerated skin that has an appearance of softer, smoother, less wrinkled and refreshed skin.

How does the treatment work?
Many patients’ skin problems are the result of blocked pores and the build up of dead skin cells. Chemical skin peels safely remove the outer layer of the skin to reveal a younger, smoother and more refreshed glowing appearance. Skin peels are ideal for ageing skin, sun damage and hyper pigmentation. They can also be used to treat acne, fine lines, rough or dry skin, shallow scars and dull skin tone.
Am I suitable for a chemical peel treatment?
Chemical peels have been designed at different strengths and ingredients to suit requirements. Most patients are suitable for our light peels to start the process of skin health restoration. A stronger peel can be used to treat more advanced sun damaged skin, age lines or scarring. Patients are able to discuss the options available at Perfectme during the skin analysis consultation.
Is this treatment painful?
The light to mild peels are pain free with no skin reddening or irritation (no anaesthesia is required). With our stronger peels there may be a slight stinging sensation as the peel solution is applied to the skin though this will quickly pass. Our strong and deeper peels are performed by our Doctor, as specialist training and experience is required for this highly effective procedure.
How long does the treatment take?
Typically chemical facial peels take about 30 to 45 minutes.
How will I look immediately after the treatment?
Our light face peels work on the top layer of dead skin cells, so the skin is left with a refreshed glow. Deeper face peels for acne or skin damage can create more redness to the skin, itchiness, dryness and in some cases swelling.
How many sessions will I require?
The number of facial peel treatments required will be patient specific dependant on the desired end result, initial skin condition, the type and strength of peel recommended and the response to the initial treatment.
