Luis E. Tellez
President
Mr. Tellez spent the early part of his career working in the chemical industry, and subsequently spent over twenty years administering several non-profit corporations. He is a member of the Advisory Council of the James Madison Program in American Ideals and Institutions at Princeton University. Mr. Tellez holds an BS and MS in chemical engineering as well as an MBA in Finance from Washington University in St. Louis.

Patrick Langdale Hough
Executive Director
Mr. Hough holds an AB in Classics and Medieval Studies from Princeton University and his MDiv from Princeton Theological Seminary.

Matthew J. Franck, PhD
Director – William E. and Carol G. Simon Center on Religion and the Constitution
Matthew J. Franck is Professor Emeritus of Political Science at Radford University in Virginia, where he taught constitutional law, American politics, and political philosophy, and chaired the Department of Political Science. He received his BA from Virginia Wesleyan College, and his MA and PhD from Northern Illinois University. More…

John Doherty
Director of Development
Mr. Doherty holds an AB in History from Princeton University.

Alicia B. Grimaldi
Director of Publishing
Ms. Grimaldi holds a bachelor of arts degree in communication and Spanish from Rutgers University. Before coming to the Witherspoon Institute, she worked as an editor and writer in the Princeton University Office of Communications. Earlier in her career she was employed by Conde Nast Publications in New York City, working on the editorial staffs of MademoiselleGlamourVanity Fair, and Gourmet magazines. She then left Conde Nast to work for Seventeen magazine.

Felix Miller
Director of Programs
Previously, Mr. Miller was a Fellow with the John Jay Institute. He received his BA with honors in Liberal Studies from Northeast Catholic College.

Ryan T. Anderson

Ryan Anderson is the William E. Simon Fellow at the Heritage Foundation and co-author of the acclaimed book What Is Marriage? Man and Woman: A Defense. Anderson has appeared on CNN, Fox News Channel and MSNBC, and his work has been featured in the New York Times, the Washington Post, and the Wall Street Journal .Anderson received his bachelor of arts degree from Princeton University, graduating Phi Beta Kappa and magna cum laude. He earned his doctoral degree in political philosophy from the University of Notre Dame, writing a dissertation titled: “Neither Liberal nor Libertarian: A Natural Law Approach to Social Justice and Economic Rights.”  More…

Serena Sigillito
Managing Editor – Public Discourse
Previously a Lewit Fellow and Research Associate at the American Council of Trustees and Alumni (ACTA), Ms. Sigillito received her BA in English at the University of Dallas, graduating Phi Beta Kappa and magna cum laude with a minor in Music. She earned her MA in English at the Catholic University of America.
