Wed 7/23, 8PM: Modern Hut & Noun on Jon Solomon’s show

By pnp | July 21, 2014

spacer

Listen to 103.3 fm WPRB on Wednesday, July 23rd at 8:00 pm ET as Jon Solomon welcomes a pair of bands from Don Giovanni Records to his show.

You’ll first hear a set by Modern Hut, the “extreme loner folk” project of Don Giovanni head Joe Steinhardt. He’s joined on backing vocals and additional guitar for this session by Marissa Paternoster of Screaming Females, who will follow Modern Hut’s five songs with a quintet of her own under the monicker Noun.

A recent Noun show was described by the Boston Globe as “a blistering, banter-light performance that cemented [Paternoster’s] status as one of indie rock’s boldest talents.”

Don’t miss Noun and Modern Hut live in studio this Wednesday evening, only on WPRB!

From the Cooler Ranch!

This was a fun one. Philadelphia pop-punx Spraynard played a kickass session in the WPRB studios last week! It was hella fun and then DJ Left Out, DJ Nostalgia, and WPRB veteran SHANE FM saw them play in New Brunswick that night at the Cooler Ranch. Spraynard played with Timeshares, Casual (featuring WPRB DJ Unkie Jeff!!), and Teen Death. Each band kicked a sizable amount of ass. Check out Spraynard’s Facebook and Bandcamp, and then on WPRB 103.3 FM! Wednesday, July 23 at 5PM!
