The XenAir Lung Exerciser is like power lifting for your lungs.

Improve athletic performance

spacer The XenAir Lung Exerciser uses a XenOx™ modified atmosphere to strengthen your breathing. By breathing a special atmosphere that is significantly heavier than air, you work your lungs more with every breath.

The XenAir Lung Exerciser is guaranteed to improve your VO2 Max. In addition, as you train at higher respiratory loads, your "threshold power" will increase -- this is sometimes referred to as power at "lactate threshold."

XenOx™ is not magic and is not a drug or steroid. It is simply a modified atmosphere that you use to exercise your lungs. As your lungs get stronger, two things are accomplished: (1) you are able to breathe more air per minute at high work loads, and (2) at elevated work loads your lungs use less energy to perform the same amount of work. This allows you to improve you VO2 max, threshold power, and total endurance.

Modified atmosphere training is safe

spacer Modified atmosphere training alters the composition of the air you breathe to create a breathable atmosphere that is significantly heavier than normal air. This is primarily done by increasing the amount of xenon present. Xenon is a colorless, orderless gas that is present in air. In fact, every breath you take contains xenon. Xenon is a very heavy gas weighing about five times as much as oxygen.

Xenon, provided it is mixed with sufficient oxygen, is safe to breathe. See article noting "xenon is devoid of toxicity and relevant side effects." Xenon training has been used by athletes to improve athletic performance for more than a decade. And Russia's Federal Biomedical Agency has specifically stated that its athletes use xenon to train because it "does not have side effects."

All of the XenOx™ mixes have sufficient oxygen to allow you to train safely.

Delivered right to your door

spacer Although athletes have been using xenon for more than a decade to improve performance, the high costs and technical difficulties of using high pressure cylinders has prevented home use.

The XenAir Lung Exerciser solves this by providing custom mixes of XenOx™ gas which contain safe amounts of xenon and oxygen. XenOx™ is a custom blend of air gases for use with the XenAir Lung Exerciser. These gases are delivered to your home with no high pressure cylinders.

The XenAir Lung Exerciser uses special types of foil bags to store the XenOx™ for extended periods. Because xenon leaks through all plastics, the bags contain a layer of aluminum foil. The aluminum allows the xenon to be sealed in the bag for extended periods of time. In addition, provided you seal the bag after each use, the xenon will stay in the system for weeks at a time.

Any type of endurance athlete can benefit from xenon training.

spacer XenAir's Lung Exerciser can be used by cyclist, triathletes, marathon runners, tennis players, high altitude climbers, or any other activity in which having strong lungs is important.

After 30 days of training your lungs, even high level athletes can see significant improvements in their VO2 Max. As you train more, your power levels will come up at your "lactate threshold." Your lungs will be stronger, able to push more air through, and ultimately deliver more oxygen to your muscles.

Guaranteed to increase VO2 Max

spacer The XenAir Lung Exerciser is guaranteed to increase your VO2 Max, or you get your money back. XenAir will even test you free of charge in our Southern California location.

Typically, a 30 day program is enough to see a significant gain in VO2 Max. This is not a "one time" use product that you take right before a race. You use it as part of your training. Your lungs will gradually get stronger and your VO2 and power levels will come up as you continue to train with it.

Currently permitted under most anti-doping rules.

spacer XenAir's Lung Exerciser uses xenon to provide breathing resistance. Currently, the use of xenon is permitted under most anti-doping rules (VADA, NLF, MLB, NCAA, etc). However, some athletes that compete under the WADA code may be prohibited from using it. WADA had previously banned caffeine as a performance enhancing substance, so it is not surprising that most professional sports do not follow the WADA code. NLF, NBA, UFC, MMA, and all NCAA athletes can continue to train with xenon. (CrossFit uses rules substantially similar to the NCAA, and xenon's use is permitted in all CrossFit competitions.) Use is permitted under California's State Athletic Commission, Rule 303 which applies to professional level boxing in California.
