The Indiana University Libraries are engaged in a wide range of efforts to produce, maintain, deliver, and preserve high-quality networked information resources for scholars and students at Indiana University and elsewhere.
The web site currently provides information about digital projects and services supported by the Indiana University Libraries and the former Indiana University Digital Library Program, which was a collaborative effort of the Indiana University Libraries and University Information Technology Services.
Digital Library Services
The Indiana University Libraries offer various services for digital library development to Indiana University librarians, faculty, and staff and to external organizations and institutions partnering with Indiana University on digital library projects:
- Image Collections Online service enables collection managers to create collections of digital images with training and infrastructure provided by IU Libraries staff.
- Project Planning for help with grant-writing, financial planning, copyright research, technical planning and so on
- Digitization Services for digitization of images, audio and video
- Electronic Text Services for digitization and encoding of text
- Metadata Services for help with creation and mapping of metadata
- Interface Design & Usability Services for wireframing, prototyping, design and usability assessment
