About The Journey
For the past decade, The Journey Ministry has been broadcasting the REAL, RELEVANT, and REFRESHING Word of God, through the teachings of Ron Moore.
Having originated in the Greater Pittsburgh area in August 2000, The Journey is now heard in major cities across the United States and around the world on www.oneplace.com.
At The Journey, we strive to share the unchanging Word of God with an ever-changing world to help encourage, embolden, and challenge our listeners. We believe God has uniquely gifted Ron to teach scripture with compassion and unwavering truth, providing practical application to life’s greatest issues.
But we do not want this to be just a one-way communication. The Christian walk is often difficult, sometimes discouraging, but never dull. As you travel this road, don’t do it alone. We want to hear back from you and walk this journey of life together. We hope to be a source of encouragement to you on . . . The Journey.
About Ron Moore
For the past twenty years, Ron Moore has led a thriving church in the South Hills of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, delivering insightful and practical teaching to a growing congregation of over 3,000 members. Since August 2000, Ron’s teachings have been heard each weekday on The Journey Ministry and is currently broadcast in major cities across the country.
Ron grew up in Perry, Oklahoma. An athlete through his college years, he continued his love for sports and competition through coaching in the public schools and most recently in recreational leagues. Ron’s four degrees in education and theology and short time as a teacher provide a solid base for his ability to be an excellent communicator of God’s Word.
He earned a Master of Theology (Th.M.) and Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.) degrees from Dallas Theological Seminary where his doctoral work focused on Marriage Enrichment. He also holds a Masters degree in Education from Texas A&M at Commerce.
In addition to developing followers of Christ, Ron’s other great joy in life is his family. He has been married to his wife Lori for more than 30 years, and they have four children: Brittany, Garrison, Lara, and MacKenzie; son-in-law, Josiah, and daughter-in-law, Sarah. When Ron is not teaching God’s Word or spending time with his family, he can be found running, reading, and hiking.
