The Office of Intercultural Engagement wants to host a Lavender Graduation to congratulate you on your great achievements! In order to host this event, we are putting the call out to gather interest!
If you’re a member of the LGBTQIA+ community and you’re graduating this December, please email Porshe Chiles, at plchiles@uncg.edu, with your preferred name, preferred pronouns, email, a senior quote, a short bio, and a few words to incoming first-year students. We look forward to naming you a 2015 Rainbow Scholar!

Alianza: Latin@ and Hispanic Faculty and Staff Association at UNC Greensboro
Since 2013, UNC Greensboro’s Alianza has been a gathering point for university employees who are interested in collaborating around issues that impact Hispanic/Latin@ staff as well as initiatives that enhance activity on campus related to the Hispanic/Latin@ diaspora.
The steering committee for Alianza is comprised of Kattya Castellon, Associate Director of Admissions; Dr. Amy Williamsen, chair of the Department of Languages, Literatures and Cultures; Pat Levitin, Assistant Director of Undergraduate Admissions; and Dr. Jim Settle, Associate Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs. Augusto Peña, Director of Intercultural Engagement is the convener for the 2015-2016 academic year.
Alianza meetings are open to all UNC Greensboro employees.
