Essential Spirituality (Dr. Roger Walsh) – Part 1
- Subscribe now
We can think of spirituality as a direct, personal experience of the sacred, suggests Dr. Roger Walsh, a professor of psychiatry at the University of California Irvine and the author of a number of books relating to spiritual psychology. In this interview he explores the psychological insights of the world’s spiritual traditions, looking for the core beliefs that are common to all of them. He speaks of the common effort to find balance between the heart and mind, transforming emotions to reduce the negative and cultivate the positive, and, most of all, the unanimity on the importance of love as the great emotion. Jeffrey Mishlove interviews Dr. Walsh for Thinking Allowed.
