We recently covered ten pairs of headphones suitable for using with your iPhone, most of which were sensibly priced, however Bowers & Wilkins has now entered the fray with these gorgeous but slightly more extravagant in-ear ‘phones.

The C5 comes with a true ‘Made for iPhone’ cable with inline controls and a microphone for hands-free use, but the real attraction comes in the form of those very cool bullet-shaped earphones.

They use a ‘tungsten balanced’ design so most of the weight is closer to your ear, ensuring they don’t pull themselves out, and rather than leave it to chance or an unsightly over-the-ear sports band, they have a clever ’secure loop’, which grips the inside of your inner ear’s ridge.  Completely adjustable, it’s suitable for all users no matter whether they’re using the ‘phones while active or not.

Of course, these being Bowers & Wilkins products, the sound quality should be excellent, and the press release certainly tells us all about clever filters which improve the sound stage and diffuse outside noise; however you’re going to have to put up a fair amount of money to give the C5’s a go – as they’re priced at $179.95.
