This off-season, “Where Will Peyton Manning Land?” will be the dominant NFL storyline. With that in mind, a user on Something Awful has implanted Manning’s face on some NFL logos. The results are great… and a little eerie. Here are a few of our favorites.

We’re not sure how this will turn out, the NBA’s new Rookie-Sophomore (sorry, “Rising Stars” [sorry, "BBVA Rising Stars"]) Challenge at All-Star Weekend, wherein Shaq and Charles Barkley will pick the teams. The pickup game conceit is an interesting idea, and with names like Blake Griffin, Kyrie Irving, and Ricky Rubio attached, there’s reason to hope for some fun plays. But we do know this: the winner of the Shaq-Barkley duo (both of whom will clearly be miked up while this game is going on) is not going to shut up about it.

Last night, the NFL Network aired its Sound FX show for Super Bowl 46. And in the following clip, we hear one referee say to another, after Wes Welker’s costly fourth quarter drop, ”That was the game.” And he was probably right. Video, after the jump.

The Rock, aka Dwayne Johnson, was a guest on SportsCenter today. And he found time to curse on live TV! Yes folks, The Rock was cooking some bullsh-t on ESPN this morning. Video, after the jump.

Jeremy Lin (fine, Linsanity) is still a thing, after recording 23 points and 10 assists last night to help the Knicks defeat the Wizards, 107-93. Included in that point total: a dunk. Sure, the Wizards defenders in the area didn’t even try to stop him, but still, a dunk. (Video of the red, white and blue sea parting for Lin here.) This might not normally be a big deal, but a Lin dunk is a rare event. So rare that teammate Tyson Chandler said:

“I didn’t know he could dunk.”

If you had any doubt as to whether the Knicks themselves are as caught off-guard by Lin’s emergence as the rest of us, we present to you the above quote, and rest our case.

Freakout videos are a favorite around here, and we consider ourselves aficionados. With that said, we’ve never seen one that ends like this: after Austin Rivers’ heart-stopping buzzer beater against North Carolina last night, one area bro hopped around (okay), threw some things (right), and then… things got weird.

Yes, LeBron James is aware Kendrick Perkins called him out for tweeting in awe about Blake Griffin’s dunk over Perkins, and he knows Larry Bird said that to win championships, you’d be better off playing with Kobe than with LeBron. Last night, we found out what LeBron had to say about all this.

The only two basketball players on the planet who could make a Jenga commercial… make a Jenga commercial.

It was almost too perfect of a finish for such a storied rivalry, as tonight’s Duke-North Carolina game ended on a buzzer-beater, after a strange and wild 15-second sequence.
