About Me

The basics: I’m a design-centered entrepreneur living in San Francisco.

I have this weird idea that I can and should make the world a better and more interesting place. I’m all about problem solving, and involve myself in solving problems in a lot of different ways, personally and professionally, primarily through better design.

I started my first business in high school designing logos and web banners. In college I worked for a dot-com startup during the summer, income from which I used to design and print a bunch of t-shirts that I sold online out of my dorm room the rest of the year. I built a web design studio out of college that increased 50% year over year until joining Mural to build out an internal creative team to tackle some much larger projects.

I have never limited myself to one thing, and have had many entrepreneurial exploits. I’ve built a web hosting business from scratch. I’ve invented a new kind of tree lopper that’s been licensed to Fiskars and will be in stores soon. I’ve even assembled a team to come up with new fried concoctions for a state fair (we came up with some amazing fried buffalo chicken & mozzarella balls, among other delights).

Most recently I’ve been building an app called 1FTP that solves a huge problem in the web industry – namely, providing secure FTP access to others in a temporary way.

I’ve done design and consulting for some of the worlds largest technology companies, helping them improve their user experiences, and ultimately their bottom lines. Like Vanilla Ice, if you got a problem, yo, I’ll solve it.

If you’re building something really interesting, I probably want to talk to you about it.
