Live Palm keynote coverage from CES 2009
By Ryan Block
This is it for Palm. Today’s launch will either mark the beginning of the company’s second coming — or the beginning of the end. Live CES 2009 keynote coverage
By Ryan Block
CES doesn’t officially begin until tomorrow morning, but the madness officially begins tonight with Ballmer hosting the first post-Gates CES keynote. Normally we’re in for a host of demos from upcoming Microsoft products (or products running Microsoft products), some semi-futuristic technology concepts, and maybe, if we’re lucky, a jokey, semi-humiliating video featuring Steve. Welcome to gdgt live!
By Ryan Block
Covering the gadget world live has always been one of my favorite aspects of writing about technology. And I don’t just mean hitting news 24/7, I mean actually being at the big press events doing real-time, in-depth coverage of high profile announcements. It’s a crazy, addicting rush, and there’s just nothing like being on the front lines to report as something big debuts — which is partly why I couldn’t stand to make 2009 the first time in a long time that I wasn’t covering the CES and Macworld keynotes (Jobs or no Jobs!). From here on in, gdgt live is your spot for finding all of our live event coverage. Because gdgt (and gdgt live) isn’t a blog, we won’t be blowing out the news with post after post, but you will definitely want to be checking in next week when I hit up the Macworld 2009 keynote with Phil Schiller, the CES 2009 keynote with Steve Ballmer, and Palm’s big Nova announcement. (Full schedule is posted after the break; if there’s anything else you’re dying to see coverage of, email us at contact at gdgt!) P.S. -As a note, similar to what’s currently at gdgt.com, we don’t have comments enabled. Don’t worry, this isn’t some foreboding sign of things to come when gdgt launches in full — in fact, it’s quite the opposite, we just want to make sure everything plays nicely together later on, so for now that means no comments. Thanks for your patience. P.P.S. -Shout out Rob and the team at Mosso for hosting our coverage! Continue reading Welcome to gdgt live!Permalink
