About Jennifer

Have you ever thought, “life would be so much easier if people came with instruction manuals!” I sure do. In fact, people have always fascinated me. Guess you could say I’m a professional people-watcher. So it’s really no surprise that my career has revolved around the “people” aspect: human resources generalist, corporate trainer, supervisor, internal consultant to executives and now mentor to training practitioners.

I’m also a writer at heart. From my first published piece at age 13 (an op-ed piece in my town’s local newspaper) to contributing a chapter to a college text book, I love the challenge of transforming ideas into the written word.

This blog combines those two passions— writing about the “people equation” in a way that helps people figure out how to improve their interactions with others. On this blog you’ll find brief musings from me (and the occasional guest blogger) on various human relations issues. Topics are typically from the workplace— leadership, personal effectiveness, communication. But once in awhile a more personal post will find its way onto the page.

If you want to know more about me, you can check out my professional history on LinkedIn or download a brief biographical summary.
