Day of the Dead Community Night at NMMA

The National Museum of Mexican Art hosted Day of the Dead Community Night, an annual event that brings the community together to celebrate the richness of the Mexican Dia de Muertos tradition. Several hundred vecinos stopped by the NMMA the night of November 2nd to remember and celebrate together, embrace the exact art and food traditions that take place all over Mexico that same night and keep the tradition alive. Nancy Villafranca, Education Director at the museum, spoke to us about the origins and significance of this event.
