I have to admit that I find inspiration for many of my crafts in random places. Today I was in Lowes looking at sheets of metal for a project and I walked by the key counter, you know, where you can have keys made? I was pushing my cart along and I stopped dead in my tracks, actually I had to back up a bit to look at a package of gold colored skeleton keys. I immediately thought they would make a sweet Valentines Day necklace.

You will need:

* Skeleton keys { set of 2 from Lowes was 2 bucks!}

* Spray paint

* Leather cord 

Spray paint your keys whatever color you like, I left one gold and painted one red.

Let your key dry and wear with your favorite outfit! 

I will be going out to dinner with the hubby, although I don't know what outfit I will be wearing it will definitely include my new necklace.
