Solution The problem with the file not looking right in your player has to do with what's called FLV Meta Data.

Some FLV Players require you to specify how big you want the player to look. You have to manually enter the dimensions that you want the FLV Player to display. We created the FLV Players for our FLV Plugin in a different way.

We read the FLV Meta data and then we dynamically size the FLV Player accordingly.

What's happening is that whatever application you used to create your FLV file did not insert the FLV meta data into the file. Some applications will insert it automatically and others will not.

You can make sure to put it in your files with an application called FLVMDI or FLV Meta Data Injector. You can find out more and get a copy here:

I would recommend that you get their GUI front end so that you can just point and click to your flv file and it should fix the file.

Once you have a file with the proper FLV information in it, you should not have a problem with the player showing improperly. If you continue to have trouble, consider that when you first use the plugin to stick the code into your page or post the plugin will look up the metadata at that time and then store it as a reference. If the meta data was not there when the plugin checked for it and then you just updated the file the video would still not play properly.

You would need to fix the file and then use the plugin to insert the code into your site again.
