Beers On Tap At The Pub

February 1st, 2012

Kent Lake Kolsch:

Our rendition of this classic from Cologne is brewed with all German
ingredients.  This light and crisp ale holds many characteristics of a lager; tangy and tart notes are
attributed to the slight addition of acidulated malt.
Hops: Tettnang, Hallertau Abv: 4.5%  O.G.: 1.050
Grain Bill: German Pilsner, German Wheat, Vienna, Munich, Acidulated
Food Pairings: Fish Tacos, Tuna Tartar, Herb Chicken, Caesar Salads

Shining Star Pale Ale:

This American Pale is well balanced, light and crisp.   Lingering citrus and grassy hop notes entertain the palate, while it is still mellow enough to be enjoyed any time.
Hops: Horizon, Cascade, Simcoe Abv: 5.5% O.G.: 1.054
Grain Bill: Marris Otter, Wheat, Vienna
Food Pairings: Burgers, Chicken Quesadilla, Herb Chicken, Apple Crisp

Chazz Cat Rye Ale:

A light, golden amber ale with a slight hop bite;  well balanced with fruity, earthy notes and spicy overtones.    “We all got high on the Chazz Cat Rye”
Hops: Liberty, Fuggles, Cascade Abv: 5.5%   O.G.: 1.054
Grain Bill: Belgian CaraPils, British Two-Row, Munich
Food Pairings:Fish or Prawn Tacos, Herb Chicken, Quesadilla, Nachos

Honey Blonde Ale:

A light bodied Blonde Ale made with Organic Pilsner and 20% Honey Malt. The beer is light bodied with flavors of clover honey and toasted cereal. The finish is crisp and refreshing.
Hops: Galena, Crystal, & Ahtanum ABV: 5.9% O.G.: 1.057
Grain Bill: Organic Pilsner, Honey, and Munich Malts plus Oats.
Food Pairings: Chicken, Pork, and Mom’s Apple Pie.

JC Flyer I.P.A. (India Pale Ale):

We wanted to experiment with some different hops and we thought the IPA would be a great vehicle for this.  Quickly becoming a new favorite, this IPA has great floral notes, while being smoother than the Iron Springs IPA.  Big & Bold, yet smooth & mellow.
Hops: Chinook, Palisades,Cluster, Nuggets & a generous amount of Simcoe whole leaf hop in the finish Grain Bill: All Pale malts such as  Marris Otter, wheat, victory, & carapils
Food Pairings: Hot wings, Chicken Skewers, Sausage Plate  Abv: 6.0% O.G.: 1.064

Casey Jones Imperial I.P.A.:

This double IPA has twice the hops and grains as its counterpart.   Significant floral, citrus, and peppery notes on the nose, yet even with the enormous hop profile, the huge grain bill results in a very well balanced brew.
Hops: Amarillo, Summit, Simcoe, Cascade Abv: 8.0% O.G..: 1.079
Grain Bill: All pale malts, Marris Otter, Wheat, Victory, CaraPils
Food Pairings: Nachos, BBQ Pork, Garlic Fries, Spicy or Smoked Foods

Late Seasonal Draught:

A NorCal single hopped session Ale styled after an English Extra Special Bitter. Light copper in color, with a hoppy aroma, toasty flavor, and a spicy finish.
Hops: Brewer’s Gold ABV: 5.7% O.G.: 1.058
Grain Bill: Maris Otter, Light Crystal, and Wheat
Food Pairings: Poc Chuc, Meatloaf, Banger’s and Mash, Ploughman’s Platter, and Apple Crisp

Epiphany Ale:

A Pacific Northwest hoppy amber ale with floral and citrus aromas.  Ready for an Epiphany?!  There is a great story to how this beer got its name.  If you are curious please ask Mike.
Hops: Cascade (hop-backed with 12 lbs of whole leaf Cascades) Abv: 5.9%  O.G.: 1.057  Grain Bill: Marris Otter, Dark Crystal Malts
Food Pairings: Meatloaf, Prawn Salad, Sausage Plate, Nachos

Anne Marie’s Amber Ale:

Caramel, toffee, and slight chocolate notes accent this complex
American style amber that is full of crystal malts and minimal in hop flavor or bitterness.  This ale is
generously sweet, yet bold, like the woman for whom it was named.
Hops: Crystal, Liberty Abv: 5.25%          O.G..:  1.060 Grain Bill: Marris Otter, Vienna, Victory, Vienna, Crystal Malt
Food Pairings: Burgers, Seafood, Cajun or other spicy foods, Roast Pork

Fairfax Coffee Porter:

Infused with real “Marin Roasters” coffee, this English style porter has hints of chocolate and roasted nuts.  Very dark in color, but not quite as heavy as the stout, the porter is dispensed with nitrogen gas, replicating natural carbonation.
Hops: Horizon, Crystal Abv: 6% O.G.: 1.065
Grain Bill: British chocolate, British Brown, Two-row Pale, Crystal Malts
Food Pairings: Burgers, Steak, Chocolate Desserts, Reuben

Sless’s Oatmeal Stout:

Dark, hardy, thick, rich, roasted and chocolaty, this ale is amazingly smooth due to the generous addition of whole oats.  Named for a friend of Iron Springs and easily the
finest pedal steel player around: Barry Sless, this one is layered with flavors.
Hops: Tetnanger, Hallertau Abv: 7.6%  O.G.: 1.074
Grain Bill: British Brown, Black Barley, Honey Malt, Dark Wheat
Food Pairings:  Pork Sandwich, Chocolate Cake

All of our beers are hand crafted on location in 10 barrel batches.  We start with the freshest water from the seven Marin reservoirs, as well as the Russian River, and add the finest ingredients available on the global market.  While remaining true to traditions, each of our beers also brings its own unique characteristics to the palate.  From the brew-house to the taps, to your glass, without filtration, our beers are “alive” and made with great care and craftsmanship.
