Description:
The Arri Alexa has been revolutionary in bringing about decades of motion picture expertise to the digital 35mm world. After the RED camera forced it's competitors to radically change their direction, Arri have stepped up in spectacular fashion.
The Alexa brings together everything that Arri have worked so hard to perfect over the past few years, with perfect ergonomic, robust design and perfect balance. The on board recording option is taken from Sony's PMW solid state range of cameras, and uses SxS cards to record up to 22 minutes of quickly ingestible Prores 4:2:2 or 4:4:4:4 in a solid and hassle-free fashion.
The highly sensitive 800 ISO sensor creates a fantastic even bokeh and whilst the images are lower resolution than their RED counterparts, for the majority of delivery options these are proving to be the camera to beat.
Simple operation, fantastic reliability and relative affordability - the Arri Alexa looks to be the most popular camera of it's generation for a few years to come. With future 120fps and ArriRAW upgrades on the horizon the camera shows no signs of stagnating and promises to continue making a huge influence on the future of the industry.
