About Carla
I’m an adventurous early 30 something who serves drinks and overpriced refreshments to the rich and famous -all from the comfort of a private jet hurling through the sky at 36,000 feet. You guessed it, I’m a flight attendant! (A flight attendant with a business degree who’s done everything from compliance in the financial industry, to humanitarian work on the mission field.) But that’s not really who I am. I’m Carla Tanguay, and well, I’m still getting to know who she is… Here’s what I’ve figured out so far (in no particular order):
- I’m fluent in two languages: English and Sarcasm
- I ADORE my family
- I like to use lots and lots of words
- I’m a big fan of verbal intimacy (Dad spoiled me). Don’t just tell me you love me, tell me why you love me
- Adventure is in my blood; I once lived in a tent in the African bush for 6 months
- The God of the universe who created me is crazy about me (and you) -no matter what I (we) do
- I need sunshine and crave salt
- Anyone can do a triathlon, because I did one
- I’d rather have a handful of intimate friends than a ton of acquaintances
- Altruism can’t possibly exist, because helping others feels too good
- I’m a slow starter, but once I start I’m all in
- I achieve balance through apposing extremes
- I’m great under pressure, terrible under boredom
- Even though I’m a lady, bathroom humor makes me laugh like a teenage boy
- I live to eat rather than eat to live (oh, and I make some deliciousness in the kitchen or over the fire for that matter )
- Sometimes movies make me cry (I’ve even caught myself ‘praying’ for a character!)
- I’m completely comfortable to lead follow or get out of the way
- I think I’m going to learn a lot more about myself through blogging…
