About

GammaRebels is a startup accelerator program for technology entrepreneurs.  As a part of hardGAMMA Ventures we run a 3 month long program in Warsaw. The first edition started on 1st August and lasted till the end of October 2011. Right now the recruitment is open - we have an all year intake – the next edition will start when we’ll find 10 great startups. For those who will pass the recruitment process we offer:

  • a predefined equity investment of up to EUR 12.000 for 10% equity
  • helping hand of the international team of top-notch mentors and coaches
  • working space in Warsaw, Poland
  • the chance to pitch the investors at the end of the program at Demo Day

Bio: Chris Kowalczyk is an entrepreneur, strategy consultant (UBIK BC) and early stage investor (hardGAMMA Ventures). Co-founded and invested in several startups – Macoscope.net, Codility.com (Seedcamp’09 winner), ORIAQ.com and Cuberoot.pl. Mentor at Seedcamp (MiniSC WAW’09, SCW’09, MiniSC Prague’10), Springboard, Startup BootCamp and referrer with HackFwd.com. Before starting his own company he worked for Procter & Gamble, Lycos Europe/Lycos Poland and McKinsey&Company.  For several years he was MIS lecturer with the Warsaw Executive MBA Program (Carlson School of Management University of Minnesota). In 2007 he co-founded leading Polish startup scene barcamp-type startup meetups, Aula Polska.   He is a member of Mensa Poland and founding member of The Internet Society (ISOC) Poland.

spacer Piotr Sienkiewicz

Bio: Piotr Sienkiewicz is the cofounder of MSP, the first commercial software distributor in Poland.  After broadening the product range to include hardware and several years of organic growth, MSP merged with a Czech distributor and then acquired a Hungarian enterprise.  Piotr then, successfully, sold MSP to a large multinational.  Piotr has also cofounded Poland’s first Internet provider and Internet application developer, Polska OnLine, for which he obtained VC funding, then acquired a software house, and went on to successfully sell to a global telecom (TeleDanmark). Partner at an early stage VC fund hardGAMMA Ventures and one of the organizers of PitchRally – closed meetings for startups and investors.

Bio: Kamila Sidor is a project manager at UBIK Business Consulting. She was the lead organizer of first Startup Weekend in Poland. Kamila graduated from Warsaw School of Economics (Business Management and Marketing, 2009). In the past, she developed a public speaking club in Warsaw and worked in the marketing division of one of the largest Polish banks. Currently she works on GammaRebels, an accelerator program for tech startups. Kamila encourages and supports technology startups.
