Home and Bahay
Mabuhay!
Welcome and thank you for visiting Home & Bahay.
” Bahay ” (pronounce BA as in “bachelor” and HAY as in “high”)
Tagalog word defined as a place where one lives. It represents my Filipino background that has influence in my homemaking skills.
“Home” , the English word for Bahay, represents my husband’s heritage. He is an American. A completely different dynamic in our family.
Filipino-American. Two cultures. Two very different people. What a recipe for disaster and unending conflict, right? Possibly…
But not necessarily.
I am learning that it is “okey” to be different. By God’s grace, being different can also be a potential for a harmonious, sweet, pleasant, and full life. A beautiful life.
Here at Home and Bahay I would like to share with you things that I learn and do to give my family a beautiful life experience. If in reading my blog, you are inspired and encouraged to make a beautiful life experience for your family, then I have accomplished my goal in writing.
You’d have to be a little forgiving though, because here at Home and Bahay, I often sometimes make a mess of things because I don’t have it all together (Hence, the word learning).
But if you’d like to join in my adventure of learning, I invite you to sign up for a free email subscription here if you would rather receive my post through email or if you use RSS readers you can also subscribe here for free.
