Dessert Strip by Chef Maribel opened last November 28, 2011 at the Second Floor Area of Robinson’s Big R Mall (in front the grocery), Cagayan de Oro City. Chef Maribel was one of the students of Celebrity Chef Hassett Go. She loves baking and has been doing it since high school. She started her baking business from her own home catering to family, friends and bazaars until she decided to open up Dessert Strip.

Dessert Strip boasts a variety of delectable cakes and pastries from the known revel bars, food for the gods, macapuno bars, zebra bars, cup cakes and many others. They also serve uniquely baked carrot cakes, malunggay cakes, blueberry cheesecakes and more. This entire strip of scrumptious treats are home baked by Chef Maribel herself. Yes guys, 100% Homemade!!

Aside from the common pastry treats which by the way she baked it uncommonly good, she pride herself with her own signature cake called Lala’s Signature Cake. She made this mouth-watering cake herself by carefully combining ingredients. Anyway, I bought one layer of this cake because it was also my husband’s birthday when Dessert Strip opened. And with all honesty, I love it! It was so delicious and the price of Php 600.00 was fair enough considering the hefty ingredients she used.

Dessert Strip is open during mall hours of Robinson’s Big R. Most of their products are already packed in a way that you can buy them as “pasalubongs” when you go home. Chef Maribel also announced that they will cater to birthday cakes and cupcakes soon!

CDO Mommy Bloggers Club is back at my blog-yard. I decided to give cdomom.info to Mommy Jacqs of Rolled Into One since I don’t have time to maintain the domain because I am already too busy. Aside from that, she doesn’t have a mommy blog either so giving it to her is bliss for the both of us.

Anyway, I have so many things to update on this blog but will have to delay a little more because I need to finish up some pressing tasks. So, see you around!!

I have confirmed my attendance, paid the registration fees and booked my room. I am ready for Mindanao Blogging Summit 2011 this coming October 29, 2011 at Iligan City Philippines. I am so excited since this is my first time to attend the MBS and now they are on its 5th Year.

On this event, I am going out with my husband. So this serves as my work and vacation because it has a tour on the second day. Aside from that, this will be a bonding moment with my partner in life.

Anyway, Mindanao Blogging Summit 2011 theme is “One Green Mindanao – Mobilizing Bloggers to Promote Sustainable Lifestyle.” The theme itself made me excited to attend the said event because I am an advocate of green living myself. The speakers they have invited are of authority and I am sure I will be learning from them which means I will soon have a lot of ideas for my green living blog. Yay!!
