We think of Mouthful as a conversation around a dinner table, so pour yourself a glass of wine and join us every Sunday evening. Our discussions with winemakers, farmers, cookbook authors, writers, photographers, filmmakers, nutritionists, chefs, restaurateurs and environmentalists take unexpected, surprising and delicious turns as we explore how we eat, drink, grow and celebrate our food, and feed each other. We take the time to get to know our guests, we go beyond sound bites, and we look at food, wine and agriculture in the larger context of our lives. We’re sometimes political, always passionate, often lighthearted and sometimes silly. If you eat, you’ll enjoy Mouthful.

Mouthful is a three-time James Beard Award Nominee for Electronic Journalism.

All things Michele

  • Frederique Lavoipierre + Veronica Bowers - February 5, 2012
Mouthful welcomes Frederique Lavoipierre, former Mouthful producer, founder of Insectapalooza and head of the Classroom Garden at Sonoma State University, and Veronica Bowers, beloved chocolatier who currently devotes all of her time to her Songbird Hospital. We'll talk about the birds in our gardens, what we should be doing to prepare our backyards for spring and how to plan ahead for what could be a long lasting drought.
  • Atlantic Seaboard Wine Association - January 29, 2012
It's become an annual Mouthful tradition: On the last Friday of January, we welcome the president and vice president of the Atlantic Seaboard Wine Association. This year, we taste our way through best-of-class and top medal winners, including an astonishingly good merlot.
  • Electric Cars and Wineries - January 22, 2012
Three Sonoma County wineries have electric car charging stations available at no cost for visitors to the wineries. On today's show, we hear from James Luchini of Francis Ford Coppola Winery, Jessica LaBounty of Benziger Family Winery and Dane Gaffney of Inman Family Wines, an all-solar facility with the first charging station in the county.
  • Ray Johnson - January 15, 2012
Ray Johnson, director of Sonoma State University's Wine Business Institute, talks about programs for both university students and the general public looking to find their place in the wine business.
  • Not Yer Momma's - January 8, 2012
On Mouthful's first episode of the new year, host Michele Anna Jordan welcomes the three whip-smart and hilariously funny women who founded Not Yer Momma's, a handmade granola company in Santa Rosa, as they prepare to expand their young company into the retail arena.

For a good time, listen to this episode of Mouthful, the Wine Country's Most Delicious Hour.
