Aaliyah Goodman
PRINCIPAL
spacer Born and raised in the south, Aaliyah Goodman attended the University of Maryland, College Park and received her degree in design. With 10 years as a web developer she was always looking for new ways to learn and create.

Passionate about interior design and everything sweet, Aaliyah brings this love to her candy buffets and dessert tables. She created The Sweetest Affair to bring favors to the center of the party. Like so many of us, her years of party planning for friends and family has always resulted in favors being the last item on the to do list. After being so grateful that people showed up to her parties, even through blizzards, she wanted to say “Thank You” in a big way. She started putting favors first on the list and making them the center of the event.

The lollipop flower was developed with this intent. The majority of centerpieces are flowers and the best favors are edible and personalized. This combination resulted in a handmade paper flower that could be customized to any event with a gourmet lollipop center.

Soon after the launch of the lollipop flower, requests came in to create candy and dessert tables. The Sweetest Affair has designed for Macy’s, Bloomingdale’s, Hilton, Charlie Palmer, brides, and numerous sugar enthusiasts.

Aaliyah believes that each party should be unique and have an element of surprise. The Sweetest Affair was founded with this creativity and belief.

Aaliyah has 2 small kids and a extremely supportive husband. Through her work she hopes to inspire woman to dream big and enjoy the sweeter side of life.

Ana Horton
CREATIVE DIRECTOR
spacer Ana Horton was born and raised in Maryland. Her parents came to the U.S. from Latin America. She has a background in print and multimedia design with degrees in advertising and illustration. She knew at an early age that design and creativity would be central in her life.

The pursuit of creating beautiful things led to a love of sewing, from making her own clothing to making custom draperies for various clients. Her custom work also includes veils and linens for special events. She has created one-of-a-kind wedding packages that include designing and hand assembling invitations, cards, programs, and other custom print pieces.

Ana believes that paying attention to every little detail is what makes the best impression. She finds inspiration from textiles, the use of pattern and color, and the inherent beauty of design in nature itself.

Her detail work can be seen in the development of the flower templates, custom flower patterns, and paper goods.
