I must come clean with a bit of a man crush for Folkert Gorter. Not only has he designed some of my favourite sites such as GOOD and Space Collective, he also has a rather lovely collection of photography.

I was in a recording studio this weekend, and I was lucky enough to see one of these in person, the Roland RE-201, more commonly known as the ‘Space Echo’. It uses a reel of tape to record delay sounds, rather than its digital counterparts today. Unfortunately it was broken, but what a fabulous piece of 70’s industrial design. Read more about it here.
