Holiday Rush
I have a confession to make.
I love celebrating Christmas and New Year. But without proper planning and time-management skills, this holiday season can be pretty stressful and energy-draining.
Because the truth was, we had a hard time squeezing in everything that needs to be done all at the same time — work deadlines, Christmas parties and there, Greggy’s school activities, weekly exchange gifts in the office, birthdays, Christmas shopping, groceries, and the list goes on.
As a matter of fact, a few days before Christmas, hubby and I went to Divisoria for a whole-day shopping spree after work in order to complete our Christmas list.
Oh boy, I was on the verge of giving out personalized bar mugs and ballpens in my desperate attempt to escape the holiday rush.
Clearly, we need to plan better next year.

Belated Merry Christmas!
I can’t believe 2011 is about to end. I am so excited to open my journal and see the prayers list I made for 2011. As always, God has been faithful! Without looking at my list, I know most of my prayers (both big and small) have been answered. Praise be to God!
With a grateful heart, I am bidding the year 2011 goodbye and will welcome 2012 with open arms! I can’t wait to see what God has in store for me.
Anyway, talk about New Year, we’re heading to the supermarket to do grocery shopping for our New Year’s Eve celebration at home. I hope there aren’t too many people at the supermarket yet and I sure hope all the counters have working Symbol barcode scanner to speed up our shopping.
A blessed day to all!

Overpriced
Had breakfast at Milky and Sunny with my friends a few days ago. I ordered their “Big Breakfast” meal at 250 pesos thinking that the serving was really big. But to my surprise, this was what I got….
My verdict?
The food was mediocre in taste, the restaurant was pretty small and nobody even bothered turning the AC on despite the fact that the girl on the counter heard us complaining that the place was hot!
It was a total waste of my hard-earned money! I am never coming back.

Mud Soap
A friend in the office recently shared with me a new secret to her glowing, acne-free skin. She said she’s been using a mud soap that her aunt sent her from the U.S. Yes, a dead sea mud soap!
At first, I thought she was kidding. But it turned out she wasn’t.
I consulted my bestfriend Google and below are some interesting facts about it:
Interesting! Guess I should try it too!

Nannies in Uniform
Nowadays, we often see nannies wearing medical or hospital scrubs that make them look trendy, professional and dignified. As a matter of fact, they are often mistaken as a personal nurse to some rich kid or sickly person.
With a clothing that gives them a professional look, I’m sure they don’t mind being in this trendy uniform when they’re out with their boss anytime, anywhere.

Ready For Christmas
Our Christmas tree has already been set up! Have you set up yours too?
Every year, my husband keeps himself busy setting up everything. From Christmas lights to Christmas tree, to lanterns, to figurines, to garlands, to ornaments – practically everything! Between the two of us, he is the talented one when it comes to things like these.
I just work as the…oh well, devoted assistant.
But hey, I was one who took these photos! Just forget about our rustic furniture if you see one.
This year, most of our Christmas decors are recycled. We’ve been using them for years now. We just added one small indoor lantern. Talk about instant savings! Ayesha, our one-year old, screamed in excitement when daddy turned on the Christmas lights for the first time.

Driving 101
As of writing, I still don’t know how to drive. Poor me!
My plans to enroll in a driving school has been long overdue. Perhaps because I am probably one of the very few who are not interested in cars. I also have a feeling that Iād be the worst driver on the road (if ever Iād ever get to learn how to drive) and I can imagine myself calling for breakdown service and violating traffic rules. LOL.

iSad. iMourn.
Dropped by at the Power Mac Center a while ago and saw this tribute board for Mr. Steve Jobs.
Seeing the flowers, candles, and thank you notes, felt iSad all over again…
For the record, I was never an Apple user for practical reasons. Nonetheless, I will always be grateful for the man’s brilliance. His contribution to the world of technology is something that can be passed on to our future generations.
Rest in peace, Mr. Steve Jobs! Thank you for making this world a better place to be.
