Wisconsin is famous for its low traffic town roads.
Ask anyone and they will tell you that Wisconsin is one of the best places in the country to ride a bicycle.
Few other states, if any, have as extensive network of paved, quiet country roads perfect for cycling.
Most of our state highways have paved shoulders as well.

Wisconsin built the nation’s first rail trail in 1967. Since we built the iconic Elroy Sparta Trail, with its long and introspective tunnels, we have been adding miles and miles of new trails every year.
It is now possible to dip your front wheel in Lake Michigan and ride a bicycle across the state almost entirely on trails until you can dip your wheel in the Mississippi River.
