BLS to Provide Better Access to Geographic Data
Are you looking for regional, state, or metropolitan area data? BLS has developed a new and easier-to-use web page for retrieving sub-national data series—The Geographic Data page. From here, economic releases and tables that feature state and area data may be obtained by selecting a state on the interactive map or a topic from the menu. In addition, a new tool, the Geographic Economic Release Finder, provides yet another way to locate the geographic releases with minimal effort.

Introducing the new online Occupational Outlook Handbook
The Occupational Outlook Handbook (OOH) is one of the nation’s premier career information publications. The BLS has published the OOH for more than 60 years as a print product. Since 1998, it also has been available on the BLS website. Currently, the online version is undergoing a makeover to make it more visually appealing and easier for customers to find information. The new version also incorporates a reader-friendly, written-for-the-web style.

Introducing the QCEW State & County Map Application
We have developed an interactive state and county map application available at beta.bls.gov/maps/cew/us. The application displays geographic economic data through maps, charts, and tables, allowing users to explore employment and wage data of private industry at the National, State, and county level.
