Memory Foam Mattresses

Aug 24 2011

Posted by Tina in Go Green |

Getting a good nightís sleep can be difficult. Sometimes it seems that no matter how tired you are, mentally or physically, you just canít drop off and get that rest you need. Or, if you do, you can wake up feeling just as tired, if not more so, in the morning.

Many studies say that you need around 7 hours sleep to function at your best as an adult, but how do you get those 7 hours if you spend your nights counting sheep? Well, there are a few tricks you can try to get a good nightís sleep, and hopefully they will work as well for you as they have for others.

Many people find that going for a brief walk before bed helps them both turn off their brain and gives their bodies a bit of activity to help wear it out. If this isnít for you, why not try a peaceful 30 minute slot before bed; take a bath, read a book or even watch some TV. Basically, spend some time doing activities that wonít over stimulate your brain, as not being able to ëturn offí your mind is one of the key complaints for sleepless nights.

Many people say you shouldnít eat or drink for a few hours before bed, but this is down to the individual. How many of us have fallen asleep quite comfortably after a big meal or sat at our desks after lunch wanting to lay down on our desks and have a snooze? Of course, this is down to the individual and if you donít sleep well after a meal, or after eating specific foods, it is best not to eat them.

Many people find that they are having a better nightís sleep atop a memory foam mattress. These mattresses mould to your curves and pressure points, relieving any pressure and allowing for natural movements while you sleep. Memory foam mattresses are also breathable, meaning that, while your body temperature changes as you sleep, you wonít over heat, which can also lead to sleepless nights.

Naturally Unique Birthday Present For Hubbies

Jan 30 2012

Posted by Tina in Family Affairs, Mommy Thoughts |

Having concern for the environment makes one think of things in a natural state. Minimizing the use of non-biodegradable items is doing your part in slowing down the degradation of the earth, our only home.

Men are not as emotional as women when it comes to birthday presents. Being remembered is often enough. While many would love to have power tools, electronic toys and gadgets or even sports equipment, they usually have those things bought on their own, to their own specification (liking). They love to shop for those items themselves. So for a wife, a chocolate birthday berries for husband will be perfect for the occasion.

Green Guitar Strings

Jan 26 2012

Posted by Tina in Green Products |

Going green has been advocated by many people around the world these days. Some do it by planting trees. Others do so by recycling. Some do composting. Most, though, do their share by preventing themselves to add to the injury of the earth and share the message of going green.

While others wear tshirts with the message and go around where there are lots of people like malls and parks, others post posters in schools and where appropriate. The music industry can also help spread the message through their songs and even guitar players visually do so by having dr neon guitar strings which will be noticeably visible from the audience.

Valentines Day Is Coming

Jan 25 2012

Posted by Tina in Family Affairs |

In less than a month, its already the month of love, Valentines Day. I am sure a lot of sweethearts are already planning for their nth time honeymoon but for us, it will just be an ordinary day. I would rather spend the money for my son’s 8th birthday on February 17 than spending on our date. When we have kids, everyday is our honeymoon but of course, I will make sure that I’ll wear the appropriate valentines day clothing.

A Mommy and Nanny In Me

Jan 25 2012

Posted by Tina in Family Affairs |

We are currently visiting my husband’s family in Dumaguete. I dont know if this is for good but it looks as if it is. I went to St. Louis School (Don Bosco) yesterday and they confirmed that they can accept my boys provided that we can provide the Form 137, Form 138 and the grading system of their school in Cavite.

The kids are so far happy and its obvious in their aura. I have been asking for so many questions and hints. And there is only one answer so far but lets see how it goes. But for now, I am happy to be their 24/7 mommy and nanny. Its nice to be a full time mommy!

I have not bought any things here yet as we are waiting for our things to be shipped here but I was told that there are affordable and reliable cedar furniture. I might check it out first.
