At Belle Mount Vineyards you can enjoy wine tasting and tours of the vineyard and winery. We offer fine Virginia wines made from our vineyards planted on the rolling hills of our recreation facility Heritage Park Resort. In addition to winemaking at Belle Mount you can enjoy cottage rentals, camping, fishing and hiking. We grow many European grape varieties, a few hybrids and of course the historic American grape Norton, originally discovered in Richmond. As a Virginia Farm Winery we are permitted to sell directly to our customers - a little like buying from the farmer's market. Sample our unique offerings in our gift shop and tasting room. Bring a picnic lunch and enjoy a bottle of our wine on the patio. Look for our wine in select Virginia wine shops and here online. Chardonnay, Merlot and Cab Franc are our most popular fine wines. Our banquet facility provides a great place to host weddings, receptions, reunions and meetings. The vineyard is a romantic site for wedding ceremonies. See inside photos of our Great Hall and plan your next special event in our Banquet Hall or Picnic Grounds. Plan a private wine tasting event at Belle Mount Vineyards. Your group will enjoy learning about our wines and experience a first rate presentation on wine appreciation. Tastings include a signature Belle Mount glass and a fruit/cheese platter. Topics include wine and food pairing, tasting techniques and the origins of winemaking. Seating for 10 to 150 people. Order online, email or call to make arrangements. We are located near Warsaw in Richmond County on Virginia's Northern Neck. From our vineyards you can see the Rappahannock River and you can launch a canoe into Cat Point Creek. If you enjoy Bald Eagle watching and leisurely trips to pristine freshwater wetlands then you will love it here. Only one hour's drive from Richmond or Fredericksburg. Plan a retreat or romantic getaway to our cabins - see Virginia Wine Country - On select weekends we offer wine tasting workshop getaways. Chardonnay |
Our Chardonnay is the classic white to serve with light flavored meals such as fish, chicken or crab. The pear, citrus and tropical fruit flavors mingle in an intricate balance. |

Vidal Blanc |
Vidal or Vidal Blanc, it's formal name, is a French-American hybrid with a multitude of luscious fruit flavors. Our Vidal is a dry wine with refreshing acidity and the characteristic zing of Vidal. The finish is long and pleasant to complement many light seafood or pasta dishes. |

Cabernet Franc |
A Bordeaux style red wine with unique varietal characteristics. Soft and supple with chocolate and leather notes and fruity with blackberry and currant flavors. The complexity and structure is bound to intrigue. It is medium-bodied and provides a great accompaniment for stronger flavored foods like pasta with red sauces, lamb, grilled meats and beef. |

Norton |
The Native Virginia Grape with a smoky earthy taste and hints of black cherry. Rich deep and mysterious. How did an American grape get nicknamed the Cabernet of the Ozarks? Taste it and you'll know. It is medium to full-bodied and provides a great accompaniment for stronger flavored foods like steak or meats with rich sauces. Delectable with strong flavored cheeses. |

Lighthouse Rouge |

| Vineyard Cycle | ||

The vines are pruned in late winter just before the new buds start to push out. In March the vines awake from dormancy and begin to grow quickly as the temperatures rise. By the middle of April the shoots are pushing out and a new vintage is taking shape. |
