The Donald W. Reynolds Journalism Institute at the Missouri School of Journalism seeks a new executive director.
The Institute was created in 2004 with a $31 million gift from the Donald W. Reynolds Foundation. Pam Johnson, the founding executive director, is retiring after overseeing RJI's development into the world's leading center for developing and testing innovations aimed at strengthening journalism. We seek an energetic and creative leader, probably from the media or technology fields, with a track record of successful leadership and innovation.
The new executive director will lead an innovation-driven organization that works with citizens, journalists and researchers to find new ideas, test them with real-world experiments, evaluate them through rigorous research and deliver solutions that citizens and journalists can use to improve journalism.
The salary will be in the mid-100s.
Bachelor's degree and significant experience in areas related to the work of the Institute required, preferably at a senior executive level.
