Established in 1998, RCDP-Nepal is a recognized leader in the field of volunteering. RCDP-Nepal pioneered volunteer program in Nepal and India. Our volunteer program offers an alternative way to enjoy the exhilarating and exotic beauty of the nature, and the people of Nepal, India, Sri Lanka, and Tibet. Our volunteer program comprises of language, cultural and observation tours, home stays, expeditions, trekking, and many more....Each year, 400 volunteers join our program in South Asia.

Volunteer Nepal

When participant enroll in volunteer in Nepal program, they get to not only see a spectacular country of mountains, valleys, deep ravines and forests, they'll also enjoy warm and ever welcoming hospitalities of the people and work in volunteer projects that will uplift poor and deprived communities. In Volunteer in Nepal programs, you can teach English to children of poor families that attend underfunded schools, or work in orphanage to help orphaned children, or volunteer in health project to help cure disease, or work in nature conservation, and many more. Many have found this experience very enriching and extremely valuable.

Volunteer in Nepal

Nepal perhaps is the most ideal destination for volunteering abroad trip. This is so because while volunteering in Nepal, you'll not only enjoy spectacular country of high, snow-capped Himalayas, rivers, deep valleys and forests but you'll also meet warm and friendly people and encounter fascinating cultures that have thrived in this rugged but beautiful country. Despite this beauty, Nepal is a very poor country and over half of the population lives in grinding poverty. Because of this, while volunteering in Nepal you can help the poor by teaching them, or working in an orphanage to support young orphaned children, or conserving nature and or through many other activities.

English Teaching at Orphanages

English teaching at orphanages is one of the main duties of volunteers while working in the orphanages. English is very important for young students to learn if they are to have a good career, but the schools the children of the orphanages attended aren't financially strong enough to hire well trained English teachers. Therefore, volunteers will teach English at orphanage and make it easier for them to comprehend the language. You will be encouraged to hold debates and discussion as these methods will increase young orphaned children's ability to comprehend English better. Volunteers will also care for the children by making sure they eat well, are clean and happy.

Teaching English in Nepal

Because of the growth of tourism, trade and communication mediums, English has become very important for young students to learn in Nepal. Without the knowledge of English, it is not possible to have a good career in Nepal. Hence, young students are put under tremendous pressure to learn the language. Because of this, Teaching English Project in Nepal has become very important since our volunteers will help young students learn English better as Nepal still lacks enough well trained teachers. Teaching English placements in Nepal are available either in Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal, or in Chitwan, a semi-rural town in sub-tropical part of Nepal.
