As we come across amazing women in Google+, we wanted to highlight some of them and give you the opportunity to find out how fabulous they are for yourself.

Featured G+’er : Maureen Stanley

How did you originally get invited to Google+?

My hella geek husband Chuck Stanley. He inspired (persuaded) me to begin my life in the tech world by helping me register my Hold The Gluten site. He also produces my Hold The Gluten podcast. Did I mention he programs the (three) TV remotes? What would I do without him? He has been so supportive and encouraging to me!

What benefits are you seeing from being in Google+?

I love finding gluten free people on Google+!!! I’ve found in all modes of social media, the gluten free/celiac community is SO supportive. I’m thrilled to make new connections here on Google+ (gluten free as well as gluten eaters!). We all can learn something from each other…

How does Google+ fit into your life or career?

As a blogger/podcaster/jack of all trades – I’m loving Google+ to make new connections, learn from others, and create a supportive/informative gluten free community on Google+.

A particularly interesting story or thoughts you may want to add regarding Google+

Google+ is another means to connect with others. I’ve been gluten free for six years and have found an amazing online support system. Google+ has helped me “meet” gluten free/celiac people throughout the world. While I may be the lone celiac within my household, I feel part of a group here on Google+.

Where can I find more information about this fabulous woman?

Lone Celiac in a family full of gluten eaters. Strongly believes bacon, nachos & chocolate should be basic food groups.

  • My baby = Hold The Gluten. I’m a gluten free podcaster & blogger.
  • Contract blogger for General Mills Gluten Freely site.
  • Published in Living Without Magazine.
