At the end of this month my family will be relocating from Syracuse, NY to Tampa, FL. I’ve hinted at some Big Changes coming our way and now I can finally tell everyone. My husband is being transferred to a different office and we couldn’t be happier. Syracuse was never home for us, partly because [...]
Yesterday I published my super-duper Ones & Twos review. In short, the price is right, the trimness is unmatched, and the colors are great. For us, the leg openings were a bit too tight but that just means it will work better on a skinny baby! Ones & Twos USA would love for a DDL [...]
Like a lot of the cloth diapers I have been reviewing lately I saw the Ones & Twos for the first time at ABC Kids Expo back in September. I wasn’t expecting to see them but there they were! The Ones & Twos are a trim, All-in-One cloth diaper that come in 6 bright and [...]
<rant> Being original and having my own ideas is extremely important to me. I started Dirty Diaper Laundry with the unique idea to allow potential cloth diapering parents the opportunity to “virtually” shop for diapers using my library of videos. I didn’t start out with a clear path- blogging and cloth diapering were both new [...]
Pin It You’ve been warned- I suck at sewing. My sewing skills consist of the oh so hard to master squiggly line. I might even be able to stitch in a circle if I concentrate hard enough. I saw an adorable pillow case sleeping mat on Pinterest and decided that making it was far too [...]
After attending a BWI (Babywearing International Meeting) and seeing a beautiful and comfortable Wrap Conversion (a wrap-long piece of woven fabric- cut and sewn together to make a Mei Tai) I knew I had to have one. It seemed like it would solve some problems with comfort for longer time periods. If you get a [...]
Starting January 25 the Giving Diapers, Giving Hope Fundraiser will be open for entries. The contest will run until February 14 at midnight. This a Facebook only giveaway that is being hosting within my Fanpage. As a reminder, GDGH is a wonderful foundation that lends cloth diapers to families in need for the cost of [...]
The Mabu Baby Eco-Diaper System is a cloth diaper that was recntly introduced. It has been called the “Wal-mart” diaper since it is currently carried in select locations. While big box stores have carried familiar brands online most have not carried them in the actual store. The Mabu Baby diapers come in kits with 2 Shells [...]
Cloth diapers are SMART for your wallet, SMART for the environment, and SMART for your baby’s bottom. Do they acutally make your baby smarter? Everett thinks so! (Everett is modeling the Albert print in the bumGenius 4.0)
The idea of cloth diapering is often overwhelming to first time parents. When they hear the sheer number of diapers a newborn goes through each day, cloth or disposable, it becomes that much more frightening. “You mean I need to have HOW MANY cloth diapers if I don’t want to wash more than every two [...]
When bumGenius announced they would be discontinuing their Deluxe All-in-One with the exception of their XS (now called Newborn), we knew there had to be a replacement in the works. That came a few months ago with the announcement of the Freetime- the new All-in-One that is also a One Size diaper. It features a [...]
One of the things that I have noticed lacking in the cloth diaper world is an introduction to cloth diapers that is simple, not overwhelming, and that isn’t brand specific. Generally speaking, the only people interested in putting the time and effort into this type of thing are big brands. I got the idea in [...]

At the end of this month my family will be relocating from Syracuse, NY to Tampa, FL. I’ve hinted at some Big Changes coming our way and now I can finally tell everyone. My husband is being transferred to a different office and we couldn’t be happier. Syracuse was never home for us, partly because we knew this day would come eventually, and partly because we never felt like we fit in. Living life in limbo- never feeling settled, never buying a home because you know you will be leaving it at an unknown time, and never investing in friendships for the same reason; these have been tough years. Both of my boys were born in Syracuse, one at a hospital and one in the home we currently live in. It will be bittersweet to leave the place they were born. But again, I never considered Syracuse home for us. [...]

I’m never satisfied with my design. Even if I like it at first I start hating the look weeks or months down the road. It is a curse, and an expensive one at that. Good design isn’t cheap and my taste is way beyond my budget. I decided to take on the task of designing my own graphics this time around. Photoshop and I get along well enough to do basic work but my speed is laughable. After a couple of days I have come up with a new “brand” for DDL and finally integrated all of my different platforms for DDL including my YouTube Channel, my Facebook Fanpage, and of course, my Blog. Look above this post and you will find a new header in my signature colors. I’m an old lady at heart. I chose to bring the hand drawn diaper I made for the “What’s a Cloth Diaper” [...]
