Product Description
Toner Cartridge for Sharp AR-M237 Laser Printer This toner cartridge prints 25000 pages with average 5% coverage (Nearly all Printer manufacturers base their ink/toner cartridge yields on 5% page coverage). Why toner? Why not call it ink? Regular ink dries quickly, which is why cartridges for inkjet printers do not last long. Laser Printers use toner, which is ink in the form of powder. A sealed toner cartridge can be stored for 2+ years prior to usage. Product ManualsSharp AR-M237 - Checking and Replacing a Toner Cartridge It is possible to check the current status of your toner cartridge using the Sharp AR-M237. To have the percentage of remaining toner displayed on the unit’s screen, hold down the COPY button. When the supply gets too low, a TONER SUPPLY IS LOW message will appear, signifying that there is very little toner left and when the toner runs completely dry, a CHANGE THE TONER CARTRIDGE message will appear.
It is possible that during some longer copy jobs a TONER REPLENESHMENT IN PROGRESS message will be displayed. This does not mean that the toner has run dry; only that it needs to readjust inside the machine and will take about two minutes. When it comes time to change the cartridge, begin by pressing on both sides of the cover to pop it open and let it drop downwards. The toner cartridge will be seen behind the panel with a release lever on top. Press the lever and pull the cartridge out of the machine. It is best to place the old toner cartridge in a plastic bag and have it recycled as this cartridge could easily leak toner, causing a stain.
New cartridges must be removed from their packaging and shaken side to side many times to loosen the internal toner. There is also a piece of protective tape found on each cartridge that must be peeled off to expose toner. After this is done, the toner cartridge can be installed. Press the small lock release lever while inserting the cartridge, and make sure the unit slides all the way back into the machine, snapping into place. At this point, the other pull tab on the cartridge can be pulled away and thus the shutter released. Close the front cover and installation is complete.
When the AR-FN5N finisher is installed on the Sharp AR-M237, it is capable of automatic stapling, and thus will occasionally require replacement of its staple cartridge. The Sharp AR-M237 will display an ADD STAPLES message when it is time for a change. This can |
