Hello! Thanks for checking out my website.
I used to have a stuffy, formal “About Me” here, filled with name-dropping, business experience, and companies I’ve created and worked for. Those are still available down below (scroll down).
But here’s the deal – I love business. I love the study of how the mind works, what motivates people, what motivates ME(!), and the exploration of a full, satisfying life. My previous avenue for study involved separating the inner and outer game of business from the spiritual side of life.
Then I hit a “bottom” – I was reinventing myself, transitioning from a hard-core web designer and programmer into a business coach and Let-Out-Your-Inner-Superhero Coach. I felt scattered. I “efforted”, meaning I tried really hard to make everything work out. I had the idea that if I could study enough and do all the “right things” that I saw others doing, Bam! I would have success.
Well, that only got me so far.
I felt a stronger and stronger spiritual, “woo woo” side of me reaching out. In desperation, I finally let go of the efforting, and handed over the reins to the Universe. And what do you know! It took me finally letting go to have dreams materialize for me!
I put to use all of the mental and “woo woo” tools I’d learned (EFT, PSYCH-K, NLP, how to hear my intuition, hand analysis) and MY LIFE FINALLY STARTED HAPPENING, just as I’d Vision-Boarded it. No joke.
Writing gigs, reporting gigs, trips around the world, rock star interviews, clients that I ADORE, learning about business, inspiring others to learn about business and inspiring ACTION! This is my life, now. This is what I’d always dreamed.
Which brings me to where I am now. I see now that what I lacked before in my business and Superhero Coaching was the spiritual side, the intuitive side, the side that connects to a higher source. I was afraid to share it for fear of seeming strange, crazy, even untrustworthy, but results speak much much louder than words. My application of the study of business and personal development is now stronger because of weaving in ALL that I learn, resulting in greater success for myself and my clients.
There’s an interesting thing that happens when you’re congruent. When your conscious dreams line up with your subconscious, when your business hides NOTHING of your soul and passions, when your mental, physical, and spiritual selves all line up. Pow! Results! Just like those “other people” talk about.
Now, I don’t believe in just “ohm-ing” my way to a multi-million dollar company. There is a level of intense, intentional focus and determination necessary to reach your goals – any goal, not just in business, but in sports, relationships, anything. But if you’re up to changing the world and playing a big game, then you cannot deny the unseen forces at play beyond what we can see and understand.

Cynthia Lou a.k.a. Confusciously runs Lou Studios and The Superheroes Corporation, companies dedicated to bringing out the inner Superhero in every one and in every business.
She founded Lou Studios in 2005 to help small and medium sized businesses create online marketing solutions that are both beautiful AND functional. After seeing so many beautiful websites that did not perform, and after seeing so many functional websites that were at the mercy of poor visual and structural design, she decided to always create from the intersection of beauty and function.
Cynthia has worked with dozens of companies to create unique online solutions from idea to reality and in many industries, working with companies such as Nike, Four Seasons Resorts, Rock & Republic and Rock Racing, Toyota, Lexus, Disney, Twentieth Century Fox, and many more.
Cynthia enjoys coaching new freelancer designers and programmers to build strong businesses that support their passions. She realizes that to be our best selves, it’s necessary to have the right support structures both online and offline.
Websites and online marketing don’t have to be scary. She knows that every entrepreneur and business can have an online presence that is stunning and brings ideal results.
Cynthia created the live online show “Start Your Damn Business Already!” to help bring successful entrepreneurs online to share their best tips on how to start a business. The show includes interviews with top entrepreneurs, as well as tips, tools, and strategies to finally get off your butt and start that business you’ve always wanted to!
When not “making stuff”, Cynthia enjoys the sport and thrill of bike racing. She found cycling in 2006, when, bored by the sport of “working out in a gym trying to look buff and fit better into my jeans”, decided to try a real sport – triathlon. Learning that she doesn’t like to run or swim, Cynthia decided to try road racing and instantly fell in love with the speed, intensity, and adrenaline that comes with going FAST and not having enough oxygen.
She hopes to show that it is possible to balance a business career with a cycling career, and to share tips, tricks, techniques and all the behind-the-scenes action that comes with it.
