Gator Bride Videography’s Best of 2011 Wedding Highlights

Without further adieu, I present to you a video that makes me smile from ear to ear and shed a few tears… Gator Bride Videography‘s Best of 2011 Wedding Highlights.

I knew this year had been an exceptional year, but I didn’t know just how incredible it was until we finished editing this video. All the couples who welcomed us into their hearts and trusted us to capture such an important day in their lives… all I have to say is WOW. We feel so lucky and so blessed that all our couples took a chance on us. We can’t thank you all enough for all your support. Our couples are so sweet and continue to cheer us on as we grow our business.

I know I can’t say it enough but we are so lucky and thankful Jen and Ryan (our first couple as Gator Bride Videography!) took a chance on us and booked us. They put the fire under our butts to research, upgrade our equipment and take wedding videography seriously. Starting Gator Bride Videography is one of the funest (and most stressful) endeavors the Hubs and I have ever taken on. I love that the Hubs and I have found something that we love to do together. I tell you, it’s a blast capturing love with the one you love. :)

If you’ve ever been around me while I’m on Pinterest, I’m bound to have said one of the above phrases. I have so much “When we get a house” pins that I think my husband is actually scared of us getting a house, because he knows I’ll have him DIYing ridiculous projects. Hello salvaged wood pallet walls.

I once spent an hour and a half finding the perfect image of Ron Swanson to pin. Don’t know what “pinning” is? Look it up.

And since I work in remodeling and construction, Pinterest has been a great way to pin ideas I like, or material combinations that make me go “NO WAAAAYYYY” P.S. That’s a good thing.

By the way, if there is some herringbone rehab – I need to be admitted. I think I try to convince every client we have to put a herringbone design somewhere in their project, whether it’s a kitchen backsplash or bathroom floor. I’m OUT.OF.CONTROL. I think I actually teared up at a meeting where our client was nixing the herringbone backsplash. 3 days later I had my way and the herringbone backsplash was back in their project. WIN.

And then there’s a bunch of stuff that just makes me laugh out loud or giggle in the corner uncontrollably.

Everything is Going to be Ok.

Life is a wild and crazy journey. Sometimes you  just have to take it down a notch and remind yourself that “everything is going to be ok.” I can’t tell you how much this one image has helped me over the past few months (shoot – the past year!). Through stress, family medical issues, new wedding biz worry, legal shiznah… this one phrase and print just does wonders for me. I should probably purchase it. Or maybe the hubs will. hint hint.

Lately I haven’t been able to control my obsession with anything and everything orange/blue/gator/tebow. It’s quickly become out of control. I guess that’s what I get for living in Gainesville, where every Friday is “Gator Friday” (what’s this “casual Friday” you speak of?).

Funny how this post started out with me showcasing my favorite Gator items and ended with me posting pictures from my recent girl’s weekend. It’s easy for me to become sidetracked. Obviously.

In other news, Mr. Knight and I have been busily working on our 2011 album. Mr. K takes so. many. pictures. that we thought it was a waste to have them all neatly organized on our computer for no one to see. So, we’ve decided (like many others) to make an album every year of all the pictures from that past year. It’s been fun looking back at all we did this year (we started a business, went on some fun trips, I got a new awesome job, filmed 7 weddings, etc.). When you start to look back, you realize that DANG it really has been a busy year. I look forward to sharing the fruits of our efforts with all my bloggy friends (if y’all are still out there! hello?).
