A bit of peril always makes for an interesting family portrait. Named ‘The Day We Saved The World’ by the client. It nice to get lost drawing rubble again. It’s been a while

Every now and again I stick a quick sketch, sneak peek, or a progress shot up on Instagram or Twitter, and thought I should probably be sharing them on here too.
So here’s Quick Spacechap, a warm up sketch from this morning.
Do check back for more half formed / half realised scrawls.

Watercolours
Happy New year guys. Things have been nice and quiet for the last few weeks, with a nice chunk of time away from the computer. However it’s back into work mode now, so I’m going to point you in the direction of my shop, where I have just uploaded the four watercoulours I finished just before Christmas. Have a peek.

Eurocultured Christmas Exhibition
I’ve got a few new Boy & Cat themed watercolours and some reasonably priced prints on display at the Eurocultured Christmas exhibition, which opens to the public tonight at 7pm. There’s some great artwork from the likes of Guy McKinley, Matt Sewell, Savage Wolf, Krek and more. It runs until the 19th December and is the perfect place to pick up a brillo Christmas present for the rad art lover in your life. It’s at Unit 4A, 4 Piccadilly place – just over that foot bridge by Piccadilly station.

Sketch-O-Matic
At 6pm this coming Thursday (Nov 24th) I’ll be doing my first stint in the Sketch-O-Matic booth at Cornerhouse, Manchester. Here’s how they describe the event…
“Sketch-O-Matic is a full size photo booth situated in our busy café-bar, but where the machinery should be is a tiny, fully equipped artist’s studio. You, the public, are invited to sit inside as if for a photograph and make a donation to the artist through a slot for a self- portrait. Wait five minutes (give or take) and the image will appear. It may be a pencil drawing, doodle, cartoon, collage or even word-poem. Take it, frame it, consider it. Now you are both patron and muse!”
It should be a fun event, and there are some ace artists involved. Head to the Sketch-O-Matic page for full details.
The times I’ll be doing my best not to offend patrons are as follows…
Thurs 24th November : 18.00 – 19.00
Tues 29th November: 13.00 – 14.00
Thurs 1st December: 19.00 – 20.00
Fri 2nd December: 20.00 – 21.00
