The mini Mr. Saturn plush is a soft plush doll that was released in select arcades across Japan for a limited time. They are modeled after the creatures that appear in MOTHER 3, a role-playing game on the Game Boy Advance.

The plushes were available in claw game machines. They first started appearing in early February 2010. These Mr. Saturns stand about 6 cm tall and were manufactured and released by Banpresto, the company that has made most of the other Mr. Saturn plushes. There is an elastic string at the top of the plush so that it can be attached to a cell phone if desired.

Background Information

Mr. Saturn is the official mascot of the MOTHER series in Japan. These aliens first appeared in MOTHER 2 / EarthBound and again in MOTHER 3. They live in a secluded valley, are very curious, and are smart enough to help put together ingenious inventions with Dr. Andonuts. There have been several different Mr. Saturn plushes produced before and after this one, but none were this small.

Critical Reception

Though none of the plushes have ever been released outside of Japan, international fans go to great lengths to get their hands on this coveted merchandise.
