Welcome to Plus One, the story of how one single incident can change your life forever. The following is a summary of the story so far, starting with the very first strip.

Year 0

Now, what started out as harmless adult fun quickly turned serious when the leading lady, Violet got pregnant. Desmon and Violet stick through the pregnancy dealing with all sorts of random incidents including Grandmothers who resist getting old, friends who reject them, and moving in together.

Desmon and Violet share their first holiday together as a couple and Desmon learns how British people celebrate Christmas. Also, there is some debate over naming the child.

There are a few snags along the way but overall the pregnancy goes well. In the end things get a little hairy though as the newest addition to the family takes a long time to enter this world. After a C-section birth, Desmon and Violet introduce Anna as the newest member of the Rhodes family.

Year 1

With a new born in hand, Violet and Desmon head home and start the road to parenthood. Violet has a hard time adjusting to working from home and taking care of a baby while Desmon copes with the newest stress levels in his life. To help out with the baby, Violet’s adopted mother Luna comes to visit for Violet’s birthday. We further explore Violet’s past as the family visits Violet’s parents for the Christmas holiday. Overall, it’s a horrible experience.

When they return, Violet begins to suspect that Desmon is cheating on her with her best friend Molly. Tension rises in the house as stress builds on the family. Violet finally confronts Desmon only to be shocked with a surprise proposal of marriage. It turns out that Desmon wasn’t cheating, he’s just an idiot sometimes.

When Desmon and Violet need a little time away from Anna for a convention, the only person available is Ben. The visit goes… ok but caused our resident baby hater to up and move away from town. Desmon is hurt by his best friend leaving but struggles on.

We closed out the year with Anna’s first birthday! Molly and Gregory attended this event and learned that Desmon and Violet were moving to the big city!

Year 2

Desmon and Violet start packing up and move to the city where Desmon’s family lives. Desmon is also going to be a stay-at-home father & freelancer while Violet takes a horrible job in a call center.
