First up, let us explain the slightly odd name. Incsub is a contraction of ‘incorporated subversion‘, a concept first put forward by David Squires in 1999 when he argued that software – in particular web software – should incorporate subversion, that is, be designed for subversive use.
That ethos has guided us from the start – we develop and provide environments that can be subverted by users.
The first of which was Edublogs - started by our CEO James Farmer back in 2005 (a few weeks before WordPress.com was launched!) and which now hosts over a million WordPress blogs.
After that came WPMU DEV which quickly became the number one resource for WordPress Multisite plugins (known back then as WordPress MU or WPMU).
And since that time we’ve been building stunning Multisite and BuddyPress installations for large media, ISPs and eCommerce providers the World over, started up the first ever WordPress App Market at WP Plugins, the leading BuddyPress theme store at BuddyDress, one of the top three most read WordPress news sites on the web at WPMU.org and we’ve got new stuff on the boil as we speak.
Here’s how we can assist you with your WordPress, Multisite or BuddyPress product:
