All of us face life’s challenges daily, and at times also have cause to celebrate moments of special blessing. We invite you to contact us during these times so that we can join with you in prayer.
Food For The Poor's ministry reflects God's unconditional love, which surrenders all, inspires trust and faith, and embraces all people, regardless of race, status or creed. We believe that Christ is alive, and that we can best serve Him by assisting those in greatest need. (Matthew 25:40)
Accordingly, we encourage regular prayer to guide and maintain the purity of our mission. Prayer is a fundamental part of our ministry.
At our headquarters in Coconut Creek, Florida, Food For The Poor staff members hold daily prayer services. We receive prayer requests through the mail, by telephone or through our Web site, and we regularly pray for the poor as well as for our donors and their needs.
Our prayer services renew our sense of mission and offer inspiration for the work that we do each day.

Heavenly Father, we come with thanksgiving in our hearts for the guiding light You have kept before us, guiding us through the difficult times that seemed to have no resolution. You were the soft voice, reminding us to be alert; the hand that kept us from falling; the listening ear in times of loneliness and distress.
Wherever we walk in life, please walk with us. Your presence warms us like no garment of clothing. You carry us when our own strength is gone. We offer ourselves today as helpers to others who are struggling to overcome the oppressions in their lives. May our actions reflect the love for others that Your Son Jesus demonstrated throughout His life. It is in His holy name we pray, Amen.
