101 in 1001

This is my list of 101 projects and goals that I want to complete in 1001 days. I will post about as many as I think would be interesting, which will not be everything (who wants to read about me taking a vitamin every day for six months?)

Rules: Each goal must be specific, and have a clearly defined or measurable ending. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (i.e. must represent effort on my part). If I do something that can count as more than one goal (like have a picnic in a state park), then I can choose which goal it can count for. It can only count for one, though.

1. Go to 10 different state parks (2/10 Champoeg, State Capitol)
2. Visit 10 different waterfalls in OR/WA (0/10)
3. Visit 4 different states – CA (1/4)
4. Tour OR capitol building
5. Visit 5 historic sites in OR (0/5)
6. Go camping 10 times (0/10)
7. Explore the entire downtown area in my town
8. Tour the local college’s historic buildings
9. Visit the coast at least once a year (1/3)
10. Go to every park in my town (0/46)
11. Visit 10 towns within a 50mi radius (0/10)
12. Stay in a cabin for at least one night
13. Redecorate girls rooms (0/3)
14. Line shelves in kitchen
15. Line shelves in all of the bathrooms (0/3)
16. Redecorate our bathroom
17. Fix the fence
18. Remove the moss from the roof
19. Buy new sheets/blankets for everyone
20. Seed the front lawn
21. Refinish the cupboards in the kitchen
22. Refinish the windowsills on the main floor
23. Get the carpets cleaned
24. Create a cleaning plan and stick with it for 3 weeks straight
25. Finish 5 scrap blankets (0/5)
26. Learn to knit
27. Start and finish a 365 photo project (0/365)
28. Finish 2 Santa Cross Stitch projects (0/2)
29. Take a pottery class
30. Reorganize the craft room
31. Use an inspirational quote in a project
32. Learn to crochet with small thread
33. Catch up on scrapbooking (2008-2012)
34. Have a scrapbooking party
35. Make something at Create a Memory
36. Learn a new craft
37. Lose enough weight to become a healthy BMI (max 169 lbs)
38. Finish the couch to 5K program
39. Run a 5K
40. Take a weekend bike trip
41. Go to church at least 3 out of every 4 weeks (2011: 9/52) Gave this one up, currently looking for a new church
42. Get an eye exam
43. Go to the gym at least once a week
44. Take a dancing class
45. Take my vitamins every day for 6 months
46. Write a letter to myself, to open when I’m 40
47. Do a no fast food challenge for a whole month
48. Take a yoga class
49. Start and finish 52 dessert project
50. Start and finish 52 appetizer project
51. Cook 100 new main course recipes (16/100)
52. Take a cooking class
53. Try 10 new restaurants in my town (0/10)
54. Cook a dish with duck in it
55. Buy and use a pasta machine
56. Make lunch for hubby to take to work for a whole month
57. Make one recipe out of 20 of my cookbooks (0/20)
58. Make 5 picnics and eat at a separate place each time (0/5)
59. Let (make?) the kids cook dinner once a week for 5 months
60. Make a complete dinner from scratch for a whole week (0/7)
61. Take a cake decorating class
62. Have a date with hubby once a month
63. Call my mom at least once a week
64. Write a letter to a family member at least once a month
65. Have a “date” with each daughter once a month
66. Call my siblings once a week
67. Send every member of my family a birthday card in 2012
68. Leave a loving note in the girls backpacks at least once a month
69. Start a monthly family game night, and continue for at least 6 months
70. Potty train Charlotte and Veronica
71. Do something special with the girls once a month
72. Send 7 postcards every month on Postcrossing
73. Donate blood at least 12 times (3/12)
74. Do a wine tour
75. Update photo albums
76. Wear makeup every day for a month (0/30)
77. Volunteer at a charity
78. Watch a movie starting with each letter of the alphabet that I haven’t seen before (0/26)
79. Take a photography class
80. Go to a blog conference

82. Learn to play guitar

90. Go one month with a clean kitchen sink at bedtime (0/30)
91. Go to a drive in movie Harry Potter 7: Part 2
92. Go to 5 movies in a different theater each time (0/5)
93. Get a massage
94. Get a pedicure
95. Color a whole coloring book by myself (no toddler help!)
96. Finish a book of sudoku puzzles
97. Visit the library once a week
98. Start a personal journal
99. Participate in a sh1ft . org project
100. Spend a whole day at the zoo and look at every animal
101. Make a new 101 in 1001 list for when this one is done
