About

Welcome to Born To Move.  My name is Elizabeth and I intend to inspire you with wellness ideas that will benefit your entire family.

Healthy Moms Create Happy Families

As Moms we are role models, therefore taking care of ourselves is critical.  Yet often exercise, healthy eating and relaxation are the last on our list of priorities.  Born To Move offers simple solutions encouraging moms to find balance and fun, while living a healthy lifestyle.

My Background

I graduated from college in 2000 excited about a career in health promotion.  For the next two years, I designed and managed worksite wellness programs and worked as a personal trainer.  In my free time I discovered marathon running, mountaineering and yoga.

In 2004 I graduated with a Masters in Public Health focusing on Health Promotion and Education.  Soon after graduating I went on to attend massage therapy school, seeking more information about complimentary and alternative medicine.

I currently work from home representing a product that allows people with upper limb restrictions the ability to communicate through their computer.  I am motivated everyday by those who can not move their limbs, but seem to live their life to the fullest, aspiring to do more than some that have full mobility.

My two year old daughter Louisa provides me with more inspiration than I ever imagined.  Louisa is fun loving, incredibly eager to learn and LOVES TO MOVE!  When Louisa and I are not dancing around the house or reading piles of books, we are outside running with our trouble-making dog, Ben.

I don’t aspire to run marathons anymore.  I aspire to find balance in everyday, put a nourishing meal on the table that will delight my foodie husband and toddler – not always at the same time.  Move comfortably and freely, taking care of the one body I was given.

What a great surprise! I wake up to check my emails and find that Lizzie has started a blog! As I look forward to retirement and put more things that I love front and center in my life, I’m sure that this blog will be an inspiration to me – as a mother, daughter, wife, and aunt – and provide me with a constant reminder of my goals to focus on the joys of life and wellness.

Elizabeth,

I hope you remember me as the Aunt Cath from Joe’s Stanford graduation. Shannon was visiting last week and told be about your website. I think its fabulous. The boys aren’t married just yet (both have girlfriends) but I will be ready when they do and start families! Your daughter is just beautiful and fun to see your picture as well.

good luck with this venture
Cathy Ryan
