Here is a response from wikipedia on shutting down Jan 18th:

“There’s strong support among the Wikipedia community for taking some (as yet
undecided) action in protest, but making the final decision on just which response
is most appropriate is going to take a little while longer! You can see any fresh
updates on this special project page:

The community would welcome your …..

After getting my Arduino to be able to upload a new sketch, I received the error:
“avrdude: ser_send(): write error: sorry no info avail”.
From a search, apparently this is either a USB port, cable, or Arduino jack issue.
After some fiddling, I got it corrected. Not sure which one was causing the problem, but at least I know its not …..

I just brought home the new Arduino UNO rev 3 from my local Radio Shack.
The installation was not easy or obvious. I am new to Windows 7, so that doesn’t help either.
I tried various forums with no answers that worked. This thread explains my problem:

forums.adafruit.com/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=24732.

Simply updating the driver with “Arduino UNO” on this Unknown Device did not work.
The device …..

Just a quick post to show how I took the Basic ATOM Nano USB2Serial Adapter and made it breadboard-friendly.

I first removed the female 3-pin header. I then replaced it with 4 pins from a right-angled, breakaway header.

The fourth pin does not connect to any pad. Instead, I soldered a bit of resistor lead to the pin, bent it …..

The Sparkfun FT232RL Breakout board has been a Godsend to me! I can program and power so many micros with it. I started with the Picaxe system, and it is still my favorite. I have used JRHackett’s Picaxe carrier boards for a few years now. They were designed to be used with a serial cable. But now that I …..

I finally fixed my Nikon Coolpix 5600 battery door. It was similar to Homeschool Dad’s post, but my situation was the tab had broken. I simply used Loctite 416 on a used a thin piece of plastic that I found in my garbage can that I cut away from some project. The nai lfile on a pair of nail …..

For those of us with anxieties (BIG finger pointing back at me), wouldn’t it be great to have some feedback about what and when we feel stress and relaxation?

On my drive in to work, I was thinking about having some unobtrusive electrode arrangement that could capture the day’s brain activity with a time-stamp. At night, I could import the …..

A little while ago,  I bought this clearanced Altus M-240C MP3/MP4 player.  Its pretty bad (as in “not good”). The interface is not intuitive at all.  Music folders get scrambled sometimes during transfer. It has a camera and video recorder on it as well.  These are not good either.  I had a Blackberry curve for a while, and the …..
